Sigh tis the season to be depressed
I just finished writing emails to my family expressing my disappointment and sadness over their avoidance of our Christmas celebrations this year.
Jennie and I thought we would try and rescue my families holiday spirit, which has received multiple beatings over the past few years, so we tried to set them up with a great Christmas celebration to revive their comatose Yule tide feelings. So guess how many said they would come out of a guest list of 17 (this includes my nieces and nephews), go on guess...17....15...12 nope try 6! One of those six is Jennie's dad. So more than slightly annoyed I gave myself a few days to calm down so I could respond in a calm and reasonable manner.... HAH!
I have just stewed in the waste that has become my bitter family, so I vomited out that bitterness into email form and sent them off, they caused it so they can deal with it!
Well this is a happy blog to start my personal ramblings!
Now to try and shuck that funk off lets talk about more social and inane musings.
Ainsley and Benji's wedding was lovely and a lot of fun. I was proud to hear the dulcet tones of Metallica playing at the end of the ceremony ( something Ainsley has always said she would do).
I did cheat a little at A&B's wedding I organised a Warhammer 40k game with Aaron and Sean for this coming Sunday (27th) so my Warhammer Blog will be getting another post too!
Got to play Ninja burger and Dork Tower over at Korny, Yolande and Thorne's after the wedding fun was had by all even though we were all insanely tired.
Jen as usual down played how much her back was hurting during the entire event and has been paying for that day all week but she wanted to help Ainsley and Benji celebrate their very special day. That is her life at the moment... choices "Can I afford the pain this is going to cost me?" " Do I think this event is worth the pain it is going to cost me?"
Look at that I managed to go all maudlin again! I am going to stop here and post later when I am happier
